From Natālija Rižka, Dance-Movement Therapy facilitator
I've been running a weekly class at the Udara Sunday Festival and separate workshops, movement journeys, for the past several months in Bali. People come in not quite sure what to expect. They leave saying they feel more alive, more connected to themselves, more free.
Your movement programme is rich. What you offer is real. I'd love to explore whether there's room for something complementary, a different layer rooted in Dance-Movement Therapy.
Here’s what I’ve been holding, and what I’d love to bring into your space.
What I feel could deepen what you already have
- Movement as a way to know yourself, alone and with others. Dance-Movement Therapy offers a space to explore what you carry, how you move through life, and what wants to shift. Working with others, through partner practice and being witnessed, becomes a natural and powerful way into that.
- Rewiring through movement, not just releasing. There's a difference between a session that loosens something and one that actually changes a pattern. DMT works with the nervous system in a way that makes new ways of being possible, not just temporarily, but as something that stays.
- Movement that includes everyone. My workshops consistently draw people with very different backgrounds, from dancers to people who'd never done anything like this. The approach is universal, not gendered. The language is human, not esoteric.
- Something aligned with the Balinese calendar. New Moon. Nyepi. The cycles people come to Ubud for. Movement journeys that meet that rhythm, therapeutically, not just symbolically.
Start with one workshop.
See what it opens.
I'd love to offer a trial, something that lets people experience the work and lets us see together how it lands in your space.
The Art of Connection in Motion
2.5 hours. Partner work, mirror practice, supported movement, learning to sense and be sensed. For solo participants and couples.
I would suggest starting with this workshop because it brings something I feel is less visible in the current movement offering: real human-to-human connection through the body.
Not only personal release, but meeting another person, being witnessed, listening without words, and discovering yourself in relation.
It’s also the most accessible entry point into my work. People understand the theme immediately, and the format gives a direct experience of what Dance-Movement Therapy can open: presence, trust, aliveness, and connection.

This workshop ran on Valentine's Day and the response surprised even me. Couples described it as real and grounded, while solo participants shared that it opened something they had not been able to reach on their own.
I also run this at Udara, so the format is tested and the community is warm to it.
Awakening Through Movement
60 to 75 min. A DMT-inspired class for anyone who wants to gently release, reconnect, and feel more at home in their body. Not a dance class. Not a yoga class. The kind of space that builds a community over time.
Themed workshops
New Moon Reset · Breaking Free · Shadow into Power · Inner Child. Each one is a full psychological arc: grounding, exploration, integration, sharing. 2.5 to 3 hours. Premium format. The kind of experience people book flights for.
Seasonal offerings
Nyepi. Galungan. New Moon. Movement journeys aligned with the Balinese calendar, for guests who came to Ubud for exactly this kind of depth.
I spent many years in the corporate world, living mostly in my head. I know how easy it is to lose connection with the body, and with yourself, without even noticing it.
Through life’s challenges and resets, movement became a way back to myself. Not performance, but something real and honest.
That’s what I hold space for now, a gentle way to reconnect, to feel, to listen, and to shift something from within.
Dance-Movement Therapy is grounded in science, but what matters most is the experience, how it brings people back into connection with themselves.
And being in Bali, working with people from all over the world, I’ve come to feel what kind of spaces are truly needed here.
"I never thought I'd feel comfortable doing something like this. I left feeling more myself than I have in months."

Everything is open. I'm easy to work with.
I'd love to bring this to your community,
even just once, to see what it does.
